Menacing by Stalking Penalties in Ohio

In its baseline form, menacing by stalking is a first-degree misdemeanor carrying up to 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000. The charge escalates to a fourth-degree felony when aggravating factors are present, which can mean up to 18 months in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.

Aggravated menacing under ORC 2903.21 is a first-degree misdemeanor in baseline form, with penalties matching those of the baseline stalking charge.
