O.R.C. 2903.11 Felonious assault

Felonious assault is the causing of serious physical harm to another or another's unborn, doing the same with a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance, or knowingly having HIV or AIDS while engaging in sexual conduct with another person without disclosure, or with a person who has a diminished capacity for any appreciation to the significance of the virus or syndrome, or with a person under the age of 18 that is not the spouse of the offender.

This crime is punishable by a felony of the second degree, and if the crime was against a peace officer or an investigator of the bureau of criminal identification and investigation, then the crime is a felony of the first degree.
